Write an imaginary café menu that suggests a whole world
Use a few names, descriptions and consistent details to build a fictional place.

An imaginary café menu is a small worldbuilding exercise with a clear limit. Choose a place, such as a café inside a night train that never reaches the same station twice. Decide who visits and what they need before inventing elaborate dish names.
A closer look
Let the menu reveal the setting
Create three items with different purposes: something quick, something shared and something saved for a special occasion. Give each an evocative name and a plain description. ‘Platform Cloud’ becomes easier to picture when the next line says it is a steamed bun with a pale, rounded top.
Add one detail that belongs to this fictional place: a serving time, a handwritten substitution or a note for travellers. Keep currency and spelling consistent if you include prices. These are invented story details, not factual information about a real café or a traditional cuisine.

A meaning to make your own
A thought to give
Print the menu as a small creative gift for someone who enjoys fictional worlds. If adding a dream garment, choose a style they would wear outside the story.
Make a gift cardOne more question
Should I invent recipes as well?
Only if that is the next activity you want. A fictional menu can stand on its own; clearly distinguish invented dishes from tested food instructions.
A character to carry with you 夢
夢 means dream. The character can accompany an imagined place while the menu supplies your own particular story, rather than presenting fantasy as a Japanese custom.
